The Twins are down in Tampa this weekend playing the Rays and Michael Cuddyer has posted some pictures to his flickr account. Cuddyer is a versatile player for the Twins who plays first base, outfield and third base. He is now playing second base as Nick Swisher broke Nishioka's leg on that slide at second a couple weeks ago. These are pretty cool pictures taken from areas of Tropicana Field. It's worth checking out.

On a side note for the Twins, they have named Matt Capps as the new closer. Joe Nathan who was a solid closer, wasn't cutting it this year and Gardenhire wanted to take him out of pressure situations. Nathan has not been the same pitcher since surgery which kept him out in 2010. He has lost about 5 mph on his fastball which isn't cutting it as the closer. Nathan's has now blown his last two saves, including Saturday's game at Tampa. He will be used in middle relief situations from this point out.
Capps hasn't been especially efficient this season, so it should be something to keep an eye on. Capps has allowed 3 Earned Runs over his last 1.1 innings. The Twins need to make some moves if they want to compete in the AL Central, which has gotten much tougher from last season.
UPDATE @ 1:00: The Twins will be calling up a relief pitcher from AAA after today's final game against the Rays. It's very possible they bring up Jim Hoey who was sent to AAA right after spring training. Hoey had a decent spring, but Gardenhire wanted him to work out his Split Finger Fastball to better compliment his For Seam Fastball. His Four Seamer hits 96 mph, which makes him a strong possibility for the call-up into the bullpen.
